Fashionista Custom Palette

At the TOWIB event we were allowed to choose one of the three looks from the demonstration to take home with us. I chose the blue look.

You can make up your own custom palettes with any combination of blushers or eyeshadows. It's extremely versatile, and I can see this being my number one palette for travelling. The individual eyeshadows cost £4 each and the palette costs £5.

I had visions of broken shadows before I attempted to set up my palette. Luckily such visions never happened; the shadows pop out of their casing easily, making it easy to swap shadows around. The shadows themselves are larger than your average shadows (2.5g). One of my favourite things about this palette is the mirror. Most palettes come with a small, narrow rectangular mirror that I almost never use, but this one is large and square, perfect for applying make-up when you aren't at home. This palette is absolutely perfect for travelling. I'll definitely be putting it in my bag when I'm heading to festivals.

My palette contains the shades Midnight Blue, Deep Ocean, Blue Eyes and Silver Lining. All photographs taken without flash.

Deep Ocean
Blue Eyes

Silver Lining

The colours are very shimmery, which sadly isn't great for my oily eyelids (I have yet to invest in a primer) but the shades really are gorgeous. You have to build up the colour, and I did get quite a bit of fallout, especially with the darker colours. I assumed that Midnight Ocean would be my favourite of the bunch, but Deep Ocean is just beautiful.

I can see me filling up this palette with purples as soon as Fashionista becomes available in a Superdrug near me. It couldn't be more perfect for travelling or putting it in your bag for a day out.

Has anybody else tried anything from Fashionista?

Disclosure: I was given these products free of charge at the TOWIB event.

You will all have to bear with me in terms of updates at the moment. I've just transferred my uni course from a Creative Writing degree to a joint honours English and Philosophy. It has all been a nightmare, and I came very, very close to not studying at uni whatsoever. I managed to only just get a place on the course. This means that I have 4 weeks worth of work that I need to catch up on, and I have to start in media res - and it's going to take me awhile to adjust and get up to speed. I'm still trying to work out my timetable and it isn't going well.  So my apologies in advance if it looks like I've vanished.
