Illamasqua describe Sangers as blood red, which I think describes it very well. It's perfectly wearable in the daytime yet at the same time can be used in the evening for a more dramatic vampy look.
The lipstick comes in sleek black packaging with the Illamasqua name printed down one side. The lipstick is square, which I absolutely loved. My kitchen is on a slight tilt so I normally have to chase my lipsticks around when trying to take photographs of them, but no such problems with this one! I prefer to the square shape to normal round lipsticks.
The lipstick itself is very pigmented. When applying it can feel quite dry, but when wearing it it wasn't drying at all. I applied it yesterday morning and after somehow surviving my hour and a half journey home in a thunderstorm and a cup of hot chocolate it was still perfect, with no touch ups. It lasted a whole 9 hours before it started to fade.
The obvious drawback with this lipstick is the price. Normally retailing at £15.50, it's at the higher end. However, at just £7.50 in the sale it may just be the best bargain I have seen in a long, long time. Would I pay the full price for this lipstick? Absolutely. I think that a good quality, long wearing lipstick is worth the price. However, I might just have to pick up another one while they're still £7.50!
