Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Shadow Pencil in Delinquent

This was another birthday present that I've only just gotten round to reviewing. I've been super busy with coursework recently which is now all over with (yay!) so I'm working my way through my draft posts.

As always with Urban Decay, the packaging is lovely. I had a hard time trying to photograph the pencil - I had to keep chasing it around the kitchen table, which is really the only place that I can take photographs because of the lighting. In the end I had to hold it and take a photograph at the same time, hence the rather awkward pictures.

Delinquent is a gorgeous deep purple with violet shimmer. It's stunning. The pencil is quite a bit larger then the regular 24/7 liners, and are a little smaller than the NYX Jumbo Pencils. I'd say that they are about thrice the size of the normal pencils. The pencil itself is very soft, creamy and extremely easy to apply. The pigmentation is fantastic, it's opaque in a single swipe of colour.

This shadow lasts absolutely forever. I applied my make-up at around half nine before uni and by the time I got home at seven thirty in the evening it was still perfect. No creasing, no fading, nothing. There's also absolutely zero fall out with these, which means you don't have to clean up after applying - a big bonus when it comes to glitter.

If you're planning on blending these then you need to work very, very fast as they set quickly. Once they've set they're extremely difficult to blend. I tend to use this purely as a lid colour for that reason.

I haven't be able to fully test whether or not this pencil is completely waterproof yet, but the swatch on my arm somehow survived the shower if that's anything to go by. I'll definitely be packing this in my bag when I go to Spain in the summer! I'd also like to pick up Morphine or Barracuda at some point too.

The shadow pencils cost £14.00 for 2.8 grams.

Have you tried any of the pencils? What did you think?

Disclaimer: This product was given to me as a gift.

  1. I'm dying to try these. I might pick up a neutral shade, so I actually get some wear out of them though!

    1. They really are lovely! I really want some more shades, mainly because the wear time is so good. x
