Seraph of Light Pendant Necklace by Alchemy Gothic

I hope you all having a wonderful week, and a lovely holiday weekend. Today I have a slightly overdue Alchemy Gothic review.

The Seraph of Light pendant features an oval pearlescent stone, framed by a pair of wings. A dark pink tear drop stone hangs from the bottom of the frame. The pendant is hung on a double chain.

I purchased this necklace a few weeks ago as an alternative jewellery option for work or university. Several of the pieces I own are fine for every day wear, but I was looking for something a little more understated. When Alchemy Gothic launched their spring collection recently, this was the only piece that really caught my eye. It is rather unusual for me, as I have never owned a piece of pink jewellery.

This piece is everything that I wanted it to be. It isn't so subtle that it is overlooked, and it isn't so extravagant that it gains a little too much attention. My favourite piece of Alchemy jewellery was previously the Queen of the Night necklace, but I think this one has edged in front. It's simple, elegant and decadent simultaneously. The back of the pendant has been cut away cut away, which gives the impression that the pendant is lit from within. It is especially beautiful when it catches the light.

I am usually surprised by the size of Alchemy Gothic's necklaces, but this one is the perfect size for me. It isn't too large, but it isn't tiny. I would definitely recommend it if you are petite and find Alchemy's pieces to often be too large and overbearing.

My only minor complaint with this necklace is that it is incredibly long. I usually have to adapt most of my Alchemy Gothic pieces to fit me anyway, but this one is especially hard to adapt due to the double chain.

This pendant also has a matching set of earrings, but I think that wearing the earrings with the pendant would actually detract from the beauty of the pendant. I do not own the earrings, but I imagine they are beautiful when worn separately.

Overall, I am thrilled with this piece. It is incredibly elegant and suitable for any occasion. As always, the quality is superb and I think it will last an incredibly long time. It's a truly wonderful piece and I am hoping to get a lot of use out of it.

I bought my necklace from The Gothic Shop. It cost £28.50. You can find it on the Alchemy Gothic website here.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Disclosure: I bought this pendant myself.

  1. It looks beautiful and serene with the light colours. Could also suit an elven maid - but that might be the Lord of the Rings movie I'm currently watching! ^^

    1. Thank you! I think it's a rose quartz, but the listing just says 'pink stone' so I'm not sure!
